What does the programme offer?

Advice and support: the Churches Advisors will work directly with your community, offering a ‘critical friend’ role and answering questions about the process, while giving advice and support about how best to progress with your project and achieve your goals.

Training and resources: the Churches Team can provide you with resources needed to make an informed decision about what to do going forward. From COSS community ownership route maps to guidance written by the Church of Scotland General Trustees, the Churches Team have developed and curated a wealth of resources.

Networking and events: COSS is offering a series of workshops and will signpost communities we’re working with to other organisations also offering workshops. Throughout the course of the programme, the Churches Team will develop the offering of workshops and events, so make sure to remain up to date.

Representation and influencing: the Churches Team are constantly working with partnersacross the community and heritage sectors, representing the interests of communities to ensure they get the best possible support.
