Community Right to Buy Abandoned, Neglected and Detrimental Land – Route Map

This route map was developed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and details the process for using the community right to buy abandoned, neglected and detrimental land under the Part 3A Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.  This provision gives community bodies the right to compulsory purchase land that is wholly or mainly, abandoned, neglected or the use or management of the land results in or causes harm to the environmental wellbeing of the community.
